The Flying Stars is an advanced system of Feng Shui that has been used for thousands of years. September begins on the 8th and we are in a Yin Earth Rooster month now. Last month of the Monkey brought a lot of radical, wild events in our world from extreme weather as we swim through horrific flooding in some places and catastrophic drought in others all around the world. We are living in a world with our climate now irreversibly altered. Many people who have Snake or Tiger or Monkey in their Bazi Astrology have paid wickedly this year with all kinds of setbacks, upsets, and volatility. Things ease a bit now. At this point in the year, the element Metal is the most active. September is Yin Metal, so this is skin, hair, teeth, and nails. In relationship with this year’s Tiger, the Rooster is like a pocket knife carving initials in a tree encircled with a heart. It could be that sweet. The Yang Wood cannot be harmed by this feminine Metal and instead, the two work together in crafting something. How can this Metal make something of this Wood? So there is this collaborative vibe, the Metal (the tool) is humbled by that which is its subject (Wood) and motivated to put it to good use. Now the Rooster in September is the school bell ringing. It is the call to rise and shine, flaunt your colors and talents, sing loud and speak your truth. This is not a month to shirk away or hide in the corner, no this is the time for putting on your big kid pants and dusting on some glitter to be seen and heard in all your radiant fabulous selfness.

Neutralize – The 5 Star is in the Center for 2022 is now visited by the 4 Star. Now even though the 4 Star is a Wood element in an Earthy place, the 2 Stars together add up to 9. This could possibly be one the of the better months for the Center. Still, I am cautious to not disturb that 5 Star. Maybe it’s just me, but that loose cannon, I just don’t want to mess with. The Earthy Center is essentially considered a trapped Star placement but with many homes now with open concept designs, it is even harder to contain and work with the energies when they become a giant soup. Keep this area quiet. If this is a bathroom, a closet, or storage room then you are luckier than someone who has a furnace, water heater, or important room here in the Center. CURE: AVOID RED, FIRE, Hot Colors, Wood, BLUES, Water, GREEN colors, and plants, ALL Earth tones like tan, brown, yellow, peach, rust, china, crystals, rocks, etc. Cover your stovetop with cookie sheets when not in use if this is your Kitchen. Focus entirely on draining the chi with METAL like a round Metal bowl, a chiming clock, Metal objects, the colors of black, white, gray, silver, gold, copper, etc. The MOST IMPORTANT cure is to hang a string of 6 Chinese Coins horizontally in the Center of your home or office. Also, place a Salt Water Cure (email for instructions) tucked out of view. Remove ALL photos of family and friends. Hang a prayer of protection, black and white photos of mountains, or a spiritual/ religious image/ message.
Neutralize – The 8 Star of wealth, success and abundance in the North East now is threatened by the 7 Star. This is a combative energy that could turn the good fortune of the 8 into legal battles or a reversal of fortune or someone slandering or back stabbing you. Be mindful this month of stepping on landmines. Play nice and pick your friends wisely. CURE: If this is your main entrance, hang 8 Chinese Coins on the front door. DO NOT DISTURB with Loud Noises or Banging or Renovation. Use this room quietly. The Grand Duke is in the NE for 2022 so place a pair of Pi Yao Beasties facing into the direction of 52.5 – 67.5 degrees according to your compass. You can also place 8 red silk flowers and Red décor like pillows, throw rug, wreath on a door, etc. For protection from the Tai Sui or Grand Duke prominently display a He E Tai Sui gold plated plaque to avoid divorce, lawsuits, and other misfortunes. Do activate this area of our home/office or property with light and sound and human activity. For September, ease up on the Fire and keep décor more neutral with brown, tan, cream and if things get funky, put a large round bowl in a prominent place to absorb that toxicity.
Neutralize– The 3 Star is in the East for 2022 has the misfortune of the Sickness Star 2 in September. The 3 Star cautions you to be aware of the potential for disharmony, fighting, and legal action while the 2 Star makes you sick from stress, burns an ulcer in your gut, and wreaks other havoc on your welfare, exacerbated by the cranky 3 Star. CURE: To weaken the 3 Star we typically use Fire to drain BUT that will only feed the 2 Star. Worse yet, 3 + 2 = 5. So this is really an unfortunate area of our home and office right now. Since the East is Yang Wood, the Earth energies of 2 and even 5 are greatly weakened. Best to stick to colors of green and lush plants for September. NO FIRE – cover stove top with cookie sheets when not in use.
Neutralize – The 4 Star is in the South East brings the loving glow of the Peach Blossom of Romance and cranky pants 3 Star crashes the party in September. The 4 Star is the BEST place for studies, for romance, for making babies, for creativity, and for travel but the 3 Star cautions that relationships could sour, there could be issues with education and studies, and travel is likely to cause headaches too. Put your focus on cooling Wood with FIRE. CURE: Focus on all the shades of green with healthy house plants and wood furnishings. Place 4 stalks of Lucky Bamboo in a Blue vase in a prominent place. Hide that Love Altar this month to avoid arguments and break ups. Keep a statue of Kwan Yin on a high shelf for protection. Keep this room and area of your yard active, energized, and brightly lit. Add accents of Fire like colors of red and hot pink but also candles and fire pits.
Activate – The 9 Star is at home in the South and this month we have the 8 Star. The future wealth star 9 is where you can envision dreams coming true and the 8 Star waves the magic wand for those dreams to manifest abundantly right NOW. This is THE room for launching projects, signing contracts, and green lighting things that have been percolating all year. CURE: Annual cure is to place a Vision Board of all you hope to accomplish, manifest, create in 2022 prominently placed. If this is a front door or primary room, hang a string of 8 or 9 Chinese Coins from the doorknob. In a green vase place 9 Purple Silk flowers. Add GREEN, Red, and Purple to this room is some way and this could be a blanket thrown over the couch or bed, pillows, or a large lush plant. Diminish Green in September and really focus on Fire colors and candles, incense, and a grill or fire pit. This is the BEST room for September so use it a lot and keep it well lit.
DEPRESS – The 2 Sickness Star is in the South West is visited by the 1 Star. The 2 Star forebodes sickness, disease, digestive issues, and overall misfortune. The Sui Po or Year Breaker in the SW asks that you KEEP THIS ROOM DARK AND QUIET with NO renovations, banging, digging, or disruptions. The 1 Star as a Water Star is easily absorbed in this Earthy place and since 2 + 1 = 3, the good fortune of the 1 Star turns into a toddler who hasn’t had a nap. This is some funky energy to muck through in September. CURE: The annual cure is a round Metal bowl and other Metal objects and furnishings. Focus on draining colors of white, gray, and black. If this is a front door and you cannot use another door, hang a Ba-Gua mirror on the outside of the door facing into the street, flank the front steps with Gold Fu Dogs for protection. Enter through this door as quietly as possible. Cover your stovetop with cookie sheets when not in use if this is your Kitchen. If this is a bedroom and you cannot sleep anywhere else, put a Salt Water Cure under the bed and put a Wu Lou Health Gourd by your bedside for protection. NO FIRE, NO Earthy materials or colors like red, orange, yellow, brown, hot pink, no green or blues. Metal, white, gray, and black is your only element to work with.
DEPRESS – The 7 Star is in the West is in a duel with the 6 Star. Both are Metal Stars, Yang and Yin respectively. Be aware that arguments that turn violent, sickness, surgery, lawsuits, bankruptcy, and misfortune are more likely. AVOID this area and keep it dark and quiet. CURE: NO windchimes, NO FIRE like fireplace, grill, fire pit or stove. Cover your stovetop with cookie sheets when not in use if this is your Kitchen. Hang a Ba-Gua on the front door if this is your main entrance and unavoidable. Best colors are all shades of BLUE, black, white, and gray. Check smoke detectors and security. Best cure is a crystal bowl filled with rice that has 2 Chinese Coins on top. Be very careful with anything flammable in the this sector of your home, office or property.
Neutralize –The 6 Star is in the North West bring great good fortune but the 5 Star creeps in and spoils the party. The 6 Star brings great good fortune and success in 2022. The 5 Star threatens to destroy, injure, and corrupt that which a minute ago was abundantly successful and doing well. CURE: If a Kitchen, cover the burners with cookie sheets. NO FIRE in this Metal direction, colors red, hot pink, orange, and also no Blues or Greens. Metal furnishings or painted black or white, Metal accessories and décor. For September NO Earth tones like yellow, peach, tan, brown, and cream. A Brass Coiled Dragon with a Gold Ingot on a Blue piece of fabric or a Blue plate is the best cure for 2022. IF A BEDROOM do not use Earth tones but rather BLUE to protect your liver and legs. Never have actual Water or images of Water in a bedroom. If a front door hang 6 Chinese Coins from the front door. Metal is the best cure for September in décor and colors.
ACTIVATE – The 1 Star in the North brings more a wish coming true from the 9 Star. DO NOT DISTURB THIS AREA OF YOUR HOME OR GARDEN WITH ANY BIG DISTURBANCES as the Three Killings is in the North for 2022. Its is an abundant room for good fortune and money to flow in BUT you have to heed the call to keep it quiet. The 9 Star brings the potential for innovation, invention, collaboration, and projects started now will be marked for success in the future. CURE: DO NOT put your back to the North but rather face the North for all of 2022. Be aware of how you drive toward and away from your home, and the direction you begin any commute or travel. A Silver Elephant placed in a prominent location encourages positive romantic encounters, place a healthy plant with this. A single gold ingot on a gold or blue plate is to encourage abundance. To mitigate the Clash of Water and Fire, amp up your plants and green colors and NO Blue.
BEST DIRECTIONS FOR AUGUST and Areas of Caution: South and North are our best directions to enjoy spending time in to reap the best of this month’s Feng Shui. On the global map, the Rooster sits directly over the central most part of the USA including Texas, Florida, the Guld Coast and up into the Mid-West, also Mexico and Central America.
