 Self Reclamation Women’s Yoga Retreat Sunday Friday March 14th 3:00pm – Monday 17th 12:00pm. 

It’s time to re-member who you are and to feel supported and guided back to belonging in your life as your authentic self. This retreat is inspired by the book Belonging by Toka-pa Turner.

PRIVATE Room offers a beautiful, spacious room with a queen sized bed, a vista view, and sitting area.

Welcome, friend, to Open Sky where you will immediately feel relief n this quiet oasis. As you have lost connection to the natural world, so have you lost connection to your self in all the noise of your day-today life. A Self Reclamation Retreat brings you back home to your own origin story. Earthing, grounding, forest bathing, drumming, chanting, and listening within through meditation and open time for quiet reflection allows for transformative healing. Much of this retreat will be silent to allow for a needed self reclamation. There will be group sharing and time for individual dialogue with Nitya to support you in your journey but otherwise, this will be silent. This week long retreat allows for the time you need to unpack all that sits on your heart, surrendering to the healing powers of nature, and reconnecting to your authentic self. You will find this experience to be transformative and life changing.

Escape to a healing oasis at Open Sky in Cumberland County Virginia where you will spend time in nature, in the quiet. 

Your itinerary includes daily Hatha Yoga, meditation, journaling, self-inquiry, Earthing and other nature connection activities, learning about how living a yoga lifestyle promotes greater harmony and balance in your life, and farm to table vegetarian/vegan meals.

This is the ultimate self-healing retreat, a true investment in yourself, in a small, intimate gathering of women. 

The Proposed Schedule: Day 1

  • 3:00 Arrive at Open Sky
  • 3:30 Welcome Circle with introductions, agenda for the day, addressing questions, then a practice of pranayama, meditation, and setting intention with journaling and sharing.
  • 4:30 Silent Trail Walk
  • Reflection Free Time
  • 6:30 Farm to Table Vegetarian Dinner
  • 8:00 – 8:30 Gaia Yoga Nidra
  • 8:30 End of Day – Silent Rest and Reflection

Day 2 Saturday

  • 6:45 Awaken with ginger tea
  • 7:00 Morning Practice
  • Breathing/Pranayama and Meditation using mala and mantra with intro to Japa Yoga
  • Hatha Yoga practice
  • 8:45 Farm to Table Breakfast with coffee and tea offered:
  • Free Reflection Time
  • 10:00 Morning Program: Belonging
  • Explore what it means to belong and read excerpts from the book Belonging by Tokapa Turner.
  • Free Reflection time
  • 12:00 NOON MEDITATION -this is offered daily, there is no guidance to this practice, just show up and breathe into the peace of your soul.
  • 12:30 Farm to Table Lunch
  • Free Reflection time
  • 2:30 Afternoon Program: Silent woods walk with forest bathing
  • 3:30 Tea and Snack Offered
  • Free Reflection time
  • 5:00 Meditation into Yin Yoga with Poetry
  • 6:30 Farm to Table Vegetarian Dinner
  • 7:45 Fire Ceremony with Chanting 
  • 8:30 End of Day – Silent Rest and Reflection

Day 3 Sunday

  • Same morning practice each day. Earthing Activity
  • 8:45 Farm to Table Breakfast with coffee and tea offered:
  • 10:00 Morning Program: What is Missing? – When we change parts of ourselves in order to belong, we eventually feel this longing, this ache to re-member ourselves. Activity to identity what has been lost and where/how it has manifested in your physical body.
  • Free Reflection time
  • 12:00 NOON MEDITATION
  • 12:30 Farm to Table Lunch
  • 2:30 Afternoon Program: Water Ceremony: how we grieve ourselves
  • 3:30 Tea and Snack are Offered
  • Afternoon Tarot readings offered 
  • Free Reflection time
  • 6:30 Dinner
  • 7:30 Evening Program: Ecstatic Dance 
  • 8:30 End of Day – Silent Rest and Reflection

Day 4

  • Same morning practice but with a sunrise walking meditation.
  • 8:45 Farm to Table Breakfast with coffee and tea offered:
  • 10:00 Morning Program: Closing Circle with journaling and sharing into power walk along the trails.
  • Free Reflection time
  • 12:00 Retreat ends
