Pitch your tent in the serene Grove Campground at Open Sky and immerse yourself in nights of stargazing and mornings filled with the soothing sounds of birdsong. This unique retreat offers a tranquil escape into nature’s serenity, combined with the rewarding experience of helping to plant the summer garden. Prior gardening experience is appreciated, as this is a collaborative effort rather than a gardening workshop.

In return for your hands on efforts, you’ll enjoy farm-to-table meals, start your mornings with a peaceful routine of meditation, breathwork, and hatha yoga, and participate in a midday journaling session before lunch. Late afternoons are yours to relax—unwind in a hammock, watch hummingbirds from the porch, or enjoy a tarot reading with Nitya. Evenings bring the group together for a cozy fire, drumming, and singing, creating a sense of connection and community.

Escape to a healing oasis at Open Sky in Cumberland County Virginia where you will spend time in nature, in the quiet. 

Your all-inclusive itinerary includes daily Hatha Yoga, meditation, journaling, self-inquiry, Earthing and gardening, and farm to table vegetarian/vegan meals.

This is the ultimate weekend retreat for self-care in a small, intimate gathering of women. 

The Proposed Schedule: Day 1

  • 2:00 Arrive at Open Sky and pitch your tent at the Grove Campground
  • 3:00 Welcome Circle with introductions, agenda for the retreat, addressing questions, then a practice of pranayama, meditation, and setting intention with journaling and sharing.
  • 4:00 Silent Trail Walk into tour of the garden.
  • Reflection Free Time
  • 6:30 Farm to Table Vegetarian Dinner
  • 8:00 – 8:30  Yoga Nidra under the stars with drumming and tonal sounds
  • 8:30 End of Day – Silent Rest and Reflection

Day 2 Saturday

  • 6:45 Awaken
  • 7:00 Morning Practice
  • Breathing/Pranayama and Meditation
  • Hatha Yoga practice
  • 8:45 Farm to Table Breakfast with coffee and tea offered
  • 10:00 Morning Program: Gardening – all hands on the earth to put in the summer plants. 
  • 12:00 Journal prompt on the front porch 
  • 12:30 Farm to Table Lunch
  • 1:30 Continue in the Garden as needed, assess other areas on the property for planting. 
  • 3:00-3:30 Tea and Snack Break
  • 4:00 Reflection free time (tarot readings may be available)
  • 6:30 Farm to Table Vegetarian Dinner
  • 7:30 Fire Ceremony with Chanting and Drumming
  • 8:30 End of Day – Silent Rest and Reflection

Day 3 Sunday

  • Same morning practice
  • 8:45 Farm to Table Breakfast with coffee and tea offered:
  • 10:00 Morning Program: Journaling prompt in the garden with sharing
  • Hike into the woods for Forest Bathing
  • 12:30 Farm to Table Lunch – egg salad (thank you, chickens!)
  • Retreat ends at 1:30
